Is the U.S. overpopulated?

Now when you walk through New York city you feel that yes there are WAY to many people. There as so many people that we have to stack each other ex. skyscrapers, hotels, etc. But then you travel west and you pass through Wyoming or Montana and you wonder where everyone is because you can drive for an hour down a road and only not even pass a single car. Now guess how many people live in the U.S.? 309,051,000 people, that's alot of people. However in the world there are roughly 6,841,000,000 people. That means that 4.5% of all people in the world live in America. However we come in third for the biggest population, guess who's 1st. I'l give you a hint, they make most of out goods. Yes, its China they have about 1,338,000,000 people that's 19% now and India (2nd place) to China, you get a third of the worlds population. So when it comes down to it the U.S. is not that overpopulated compared to other countries.

  1. Some places are certainly more crowded than others. It is amazing to me that people choose to live stacked on top of each other like they do in NYC--the apartments are tiny and you rarely have space to yourself. I would rather live in the country any day. What about you?
